I went for a walk this weekend on a trail nearby my house, it was absolutely beautiful to see the leaves changing. It reminded of the beauty of transformation that surrounds us. Fall is a time that nature is transforming but we are also transforming. It is natural for our routines to ebb and flow with the seasons. Creating a wellness routine that connects with the fall is a beautiful way to honor the natural ebb and flow of nature.
- Nutritious Diet:
- Incorporate seasonal fruits and vegetables like apples, pumpkins, squash, and sweet potatoes into your meals.
- Include warming foods like soups, stews, and herbal teas to support your immune system.
- Ensure a balance of macronutrients (carbs from whole foods, proteins, and healthy fats) in your diet.
- Regular Exercise:
- Embrace outdoor activities like hiking, biking, or brisk walking to enjoy the crisp fall air.
- Consider indoor workouts such as yoga or Pilates to maintain flexibility and strength.
- Establish a consistent exercise routine, aiming for at least 150 minutes of moderate-intensity aerobic activity per week.
- Adequate Sleep:
- Stick to a regular sleep schedule to ensure you get 7-9 hours of quality sleep each night.
