Weekly dinners 12/7/20

If you want to feel ahead in your day and week- try planning out weekly dinners. If you are new to meal planning see my post & step by step guide to weekly meal planning. It has been life changing for our household! Each week I plan our weekly dinner menu, by making 1 decision about dinner for the entire week, we save money and time.  Plus, we don’t have to  make 7 decisions about dinner, just 1.

making dinner

Our weekly dinners:

Monday:

Italian Sausage and Roasted Tomato Cream Cavatappi with Peas (Home chef meal)

Tuesday:

Cool Ranch Chicken Tacos by Family Freezer

This is one of my favorite go to recipes!

*Throw everything in the crockpot, Cook on low all day, at least 8 hours

Holy Cow- it doesn’t get much easier than that!

Wednesday:

Leftovers

Thursday:

Garlic-Sesame Steak Noodles with Snow Peas and Honey Roasted Peanuts (Home Chef meal)

Friday:

Air fried chicken

Our Ninja Air frier makes perfect “fried chicken”- it’s so easy!

Just preheat the frier to 390

While the frier is preheating put chicken thighs in a quart size bag- add spices (salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder)

spray the inside with cooking spray

Add 4 chicken thighs to the frier

Cook for 12 minutes, flip and cook for 8 min

Brussel Sprouts

Preheat oven to 425 degrees

    • If you have large brussel sprouts, cut in half. Put them on a cookie sheet & drizzle olive oil over & sprinkle with salt
    • Roast them for anywhere from 20-40 minutes depending on the size. You want them to be crispy and slightly browned, but watch them because they can go from perfect to burnt to a crisp quickly!

While they are roasting, make the sauce-

    • 2 TBLHoney, 1 tsp Sriracha & a splash of lime juice
    • Once they are done, let them cool slightly. Then add some more salt to taste.

Saturday:

Out to eat!

Sunday:

Leftovers

dinner planning

There are 3 things that I do that make planning our weekly menu so much simpler:

  1. Follow my weekly meal planner guide
  2. Use 2 Home Chef meals a week (I always pick the oven ready options)
  3. Writing our meals down on my FREE weekly dinner printable
