For Once In My Life by Colleen Coleman

Lily has a plan for her life, or had a plan for her life. At 29 she should be happily married and in her dream job. But when she is left at the altar, her life falls apart. She is stuck in this cycle of being too afraid to open up to any possibilities that she becomes stuck. Stuck in a mediocre life, that she is just existing, but not really living. Then an opportunity comes about that changes it all. This book was an equivalent to a rom-com movie, and it was just what I needed after some very intense books.

Don’t miss October’s book pick:

“Between Two Kingdoms” by Suleika Jaouad. I finished it recently, and it was one of those books that is life changing. I absolutely loved it. It is a memoir of Suleika, who was diagnosed with cancer in her early 20’s. The horrific struggles that getting through cancer brought her and then the beautiful healing process that she goes through is a story that has such vulnerability. It will stay with me forever.
