If you are wondering how to get a good night’s sleep- you are in the right place! Learning this has been a struggle for me, I will never have it down perfectly, but I have learned some tips and tricks (and when I stick to them) that really help. If you are anything like me, anything that I am worrying about likes to replay in my head right when I am trying to go to sleep- talk about frustrating! Sleep is such a big part of our overall wellness, it affects everything. So getting into the habit of getting a good night’s sleep is really important!
How to get a good night’s sleep- my top 7 tricks!
It’s really all about making a routine. Our bodies love a good routine, so find what helps you sleep and then make it a routine. Here is what works for me.
- Have a nightly drink- this can be a relaxing tea, decaf coffee or a glass of wine some nights.
2. Take a hot bath with epsom salt. Try lighting a candle and keep the lights dim.
3. Do some gentle yoga stretches – click here for some great ones!
4. Turn off screens 2 hours before bed.
5. Diffuse a calming essential oil
6. Journal right before bed. Try my REAAL journaling.
7. Calm meditation app- try their sleep stories or meditation
