How to Make a Vision Board for 2022

It doesn’t matter if you are reading this in January or July, making a vision board can help bring a visual reminder to what you want your life to look like, no matter what time of year.  This helps me give a framework of how I make decisions and live my life. In this post, I am going to show you how to make a vision board for 2022!

My word of the year is Love. Love= a feeling of strong affection for AND a great interest and pleasure in something. Using my word of the year LOVE will allow me to guide all 5 areas of my life to lead with love. See my previous post on how to pick a word of the year.

How to make a vision board for 2022

Step 1: Gather some supplies. Cork or poster board, pens or markers, stickers, magazines (to cut out words or pictures to add).

Step 2: Using your word of the year (intention, mindset, etc.), start looking at the key areas in your life, and how you will help use your word to frame your life.

  1. Personal life:

    • Self-love= doing the things that I know make me feel good
      • Morning & evening routines
      • Monthly massage
      • Set and keep boundaries
  2. Key Relationships:

    • Love for my peeps= intentionally connecting with the people that I love
      • Monthly planned date nights
      • Weekly get togethers with our kids
      • Intentional gatherings with family
      • Planned activities with my friends
  3. Spiritual Health:

    • Love for a purpose driven life= connecting with meaning in life
      • Meditate daily
      • Journaling daily
      • Going to or virtually attending church regularly
      • Volunteering 1/month at CWH
  4. Professional goals:

    • Love for my profession= aligning my professional life with authentic purpose and productivity.
      • Graduate from my Nurse Coaching program
      • Begin wellness coaching
      • Continue to grow my blog with a wellness focus
  5. Holistic Wellness/Physical health

    • Love for my body= making lifestyle choices that keep me healthy
      • Sleep at least 6 hours a night
      • Plan my workouts for the week (focus on 5 workouts a week)
      • Yoga weekly- flexibility and relaxation
      • Get at least 8,000 steps in a day
      • Continue focusing on whole food, plant based. Minimize processed foods.
      • Drink 80 ounces of water a day
      • Be intentional with “treats”- desert, alcohol, chips, etc

Step 3: Get creative! Using your poster board or cork board attach your items, scrapbook paper with your intentions wrote out,  things you cut out in magazines, stickers or anything else that brings you inspiration.

Step 4: Once you are all done- hang it somewhere you will see daily!

Step 5: Evaluate- set up a time, weekly or monthly (whatever works best) to check in and see how things are going. I like to set a calendar reminder for this so I don’t forget.
