Do you dread Monday mornings? As the weekend comes to a close, I do start feeling a little panicky about the start of the new week. While I don’t have control over how fast the weekend goes, I do have control over being prepared for Monday morning. See the 5 things to do on Sunday to help the week go smoother!
5 things to do on Sunday to have the best week ever:
1. Review your calendar for the week:
- Have everyone write in their schedule for the week on our weekly planner
- This is my printable that I made, then I laminated it & we use wet erase markers to write it in!
- It helps for everyone to know what’s going on
- Planning meals makes it easier as well to know when someone has a busy night or will be home later
2. Meal Plan and Grocery Shop
- Make a weekly meal plan- see my easy guide on how to plan
- Writing out dinner for each day of the week is great to do after reviewing the calendar
- This is a great time to take stock of what I already have in my pantry and fridge to use up it first
3. Clean out the fridge
- While taking stock of what I already have and toss out what’s old or expired
- Starting the week with a clean and organized fridge helps me feel more peaceful
4. Do something good for your soul
Some examples that are go to’s for me are:
- Church
- Being in Nature
- Yoga
- Brunch with a friend
- Get a massage
- a long walk
5. Go to bed on time
- Set a timer to keep you on track
- Do some wind down activities as it gets later in the evening
- Take a bath to relax
- One of the best ways to ensure a happier Monday morning is getting a full nights sleep
