Do you like to read? Reading is one of my FAVORITE things to do and it is a really good thing to do for your health! That may seem kind of crazy that reading can be good for your health, but it really is!! So on this Wellness Wednesday lets talk about reading!!!
The top 5 benefits of reading- It can:
- Improve memory
- Help create empathy
- Reduce stress
- Increase our knowledge and brain function
- Lead to a better night’s sleep
With all that being said- I need to jumpstart my reading habits back into practice. My goal is to read before bed every night- even if it’s only for 5 minutes!! This book pictured above “The Dinner List” by Rebecca Serle was so good. It was one of those books that I couldn’t put down. The premise is ~ What 5 people (living or dead) would you like to have dinner with? and then what if that really happened?? This book explores just that and the life lessons learned from this experience. It is written in such a lovely way taking you through the dinner, and flashing back to the past then tying it all together in a really beautiful way.
