Weekly Menu~ 8/24/20

Well hi there friends!! Hopefully your week is off to a great start! Weekly menu planning is something that simplifies our life and household. Having meals planned and ingredients for those meals for each night during the week makes things calmer and smoother. On Sundays I am trying to make sure I have some things prepped for the week. For example, this Sunday I made the Spaghetti Squash Casserole and cooked the chicken for the Loaded Cauliflower Casserole. Just having a few things prepped makes evenings even simpler! Monday:

Spaghetti Pie by PaleOMG

I used a Spaghetti Squash from my own garden!!

Easiest way to prepare Spaghetti Squash

  1. Wash your squash
  2. Pierce it several times with a knife
  3. Put it in the crockpot with 1 cup of water or broth
  4. Cook on low for 4-6 hours
  5. Remove from the crockpot- it will be hot so BE CAREFUL!!
  6. Cut it in half and shred the noodles

Before I met my husband, I had never bought or cooked with ground turkey. I don’t personally like turkey on Thanksgiving (I know- what’s wrong with me). But turkey burgers are amazing! We keep it super simple and just season with salt and pepper and use some olive oil in the pan. I eat mine bunless with a little bit of mayo on top~ yum!!
