How to start- it’s easy!
- Grab a journal and a pen
- Write down 1-3 specific things that you are grateful for in the last 24 hours
How does having a gratitude journal help our wellness?
- A daily routine in which we focus on the things in our life that we are grateful for, helps us focus on the positive aspects of our life in an authentic way
- When our awareness is on things that we are grateful for, we naturally start noticing more things that we are grateful for
- When you are feeling down, you can look back through your gratitude journal as a reminder of good things in your life
It may sound so simple that you are asking yourself- how can this work? But I am telling you from personal experience and from my client’s experiences, it absolutely does work- and the association with having a gratitude practice and an improved wellbeing is backed by research studies!! How cool is that 🙂
