It’s hard to believe we are past the first week of February, but here we are! As I sit here with the fireplace going, I am looking back on this past week of little things that I am loving and that are making my life more enjoyable or easier. I love hearing about what other people’s favorites are, so I thought it would be fun to share mine as well! My goal is to do a new blog post each week on my favorite things from the past week. I hope you share yours with me as well! Here are my weekly favorite things 1/31/22.
-
Our fireplace and anything warm
- Temperatures were pretty cold this week and so I have been spending a lot of time trying to be warm! Close to our fireplace has been my favorite spot.
-
Keurig coffee maker
- How I make my morning coffee changes at times. I have used a regular coffee maker, french press and Keurig at different times. Right now I am thankful for my Keurig for making my coffee quickly. I add a little frothed oat milk and enjoy!
-
Skip-bo card game
- This has been a game my family has played forever. I actually do not remember learning to play, I only remember playing. Could it have been something that I was genetically able to do from birth? Maybe 🙂 On our second date, I taught my husband how to play. The last couple of weeks we have been playing it a lot in our house. There is something cozy about game nights! What’s your favorite card game?

Thieves young living essential oil line
- This is one of my favorite oils from young living. The blend of essential oils used in thieves has been studied successfully for their ability to inhibit growth of multi-drug resistant bacteria. (source)
- If you are interested in trying out any young living products, I love the product so much I became a partner/distributor. You can shop with me for any young living products here. (under the shop tab, you can search for all of the thieves line) Or find out more information about why I love young living here
- So here are some of the ways that I use Thieves essential oil:
- add 1-3 drops to a spoonful of honey each day of thieves vitality essential oil
- use their household cleaner, I just dilute per the instructions with water in a spray bottle!
- diffuse thieves essential oil
- add a drop of thieves vitality essential oil to my tea
- use their foaming hand soap
- thieves hand sanitizer is my favorite- I keep some at home, in my purse, my car and at work
-
Book: Fiona and Jane by Jean Chen Ho
- This is my February book club pick! See all of my bookclub picks on my affiliate link for Bookshop
- It is about these 2 women’s lives from teenage years through adults as best friends. Their lives definitely don’t follow the paths that they have imagined. It is a real look at how life goes, troubles and challenges and also joy.
- I read this book in 1 day!
I hope you enjoyed my 5 favorites from this past week. Please share with me your favorites! I love to learn about what is making life easier or bringing you joy.
