Fitness Friday- partner workout~12/28/18

Happy Fitness Friday!! When it comes to working out, I have learned a lot this year!!! Number 1- listen to your body. I overdid things and didn’t work in rest days when I was training for the 1/2 marathon. Not only was I unable to do the 1/2 marathon because of an injury, I am still dealing with that injury 9 months later- super frustrating~ grrrrrr 🙁  Number 2-  If your schedule changes, don’t forget to plan in your workouts. I had a pretty big schedule change mid-summer & it was hard to figure out where my workouts fit in. I found it is REALLY important to make sure that working out is figured into your schedule (or it just doesn’t happen). Number 3- It’s okay to change workouts up in order to simplify your life. You don’t have to do what you are used to if what you are used to starts making life more stressful.

As the year is quickly coming to an end, I am starting to look ahead to my goals for the new year. I am in search of a new planner. Call me old fashioned but I LOVE a paper planner.  My google calendar is great and I will continue to use it, but there is something about writing things down (in different colored pens), highlighting things, crossing things off,  and using fun stickers that you just can’t get from an electronic calendar. I am looking for one that I can incorporate goals and to-do lists into. Just the beginning of  this year, I am starting to update my vision board and pondering my word of the year for 2019. See here for my post on this for 2018

The workout I am sharing today is a fun partner workout.

  • Partner A: Rows 400 meters
  • Partner B: AMRAP 20 Kettlebell Swings and 20 box jumps
  • Once Partner A is done with the row, switch- Partner A, starts where Partner B left off!!

A Kettlebell is one of the most versatile pieces of workout equipment available!

Thank you for stopping by~
