April’s goals wrap up!

Welcome back to my weekly goal update, this week it is the wrap of April!! On a blog a couple of weeks ago, I shared about how I was going to start tracking my monthly goals- click here to see the original post. To accomplish my goals, since I am an Obliger, I work best with outside accountability (read The Four Tendencies for more information on that). So my plan is to post my monthly goals and then do a weekly update. This helps keep me on track & holds me accountable. It is hard to believe that April is over, but overall I accomplished the goals I had set up. Knowing that I had planned to share the update each week, really did work to keep me motivated and on track. So here is a recap of my goals and if I finished them or if they are in progress…

April’s Goals:

1. Finish 3 books
2.  Inside Project
  • Hobby Room (I plan on doing a whole blog post on this room. It is a multi-purpose room for sure!!
    • Gift wrapping/craft area   FINISHED!
    • Music area FINISHED!
    • Office space FINISHED!
    • Hydroponics- in progress
      • This will become a goal all by itself. My husband has been researching (and nerding out a bit *wink, wink*) this past month to learn all about Hydroponics. Our plan is to start a very small hydroponics system. Read more about it in my May goals post coming out next week!!
3. Outside Project
  • Build chicken coop- in progress! ( I look forward to doing a tutorial of sorts with the chicken coop. We found a plan & then completely modified it to fit the space we needed)
    • Left to do:
      • Paint
      • Tin roof
      • Chicken wire
  • Plant seedlingsFINISHED!
    • Tomatoes (grape, roma, beefsteak) FINISHED!
    • Spaghetti Squash FINISHED!
    • Sweet Potatoes FINISHED!
    • Lettuce FINISHED!
    • Spinach FINISHED!
    • Cilantro FINISHED!
    • Basil FINISHED!
  • Put up plastic covering of hoop houses- in progress
    • The covering it with plastic, turned out to be a little trickier than we initially thought. The clips that we planned on using, didn’t work and we are going to approach it differently. This will make it to May’s goals as well!!
4. Creative/Crafty Project
  • Cork craft- FINISHED!
    • A bonus find- as I was looking through corks to put in my project, I found this one that I had wrote on from a girls trip with my cousins in 2012. What a fun memory!!
  • Coloring project- in progress
  • Puzzle FINISHED!
