Fall is my favorite of all of the seasons. The coziness that it brings, the colors and the reminder that change is part of nature are among the many reasons that it’s my favorite. So let’s talk about the 5 things that are making my fall lovely and well. Please share yours!
1) The quotes that bring out the beauty of fall:
Quotes have always been something that resonate with me, I save them everywhere, sometimes I write them down, save them in a screenshot in my phone or on my Pinterest board. So, I am trying to be more organized about where I keep them so I can look back on them when needed, or share with someone in need. It reminds me that our words are powerful, they can make things feel so clear and the quote at the right time can make me feel like everything will be just fine. Here are some of my favorite quotes about fall….
- “The trees are about to show us how lovely it is to be deeply rooted and let go at the same time.” – Unknown
- “Life starts all over again when it gets crisp in the fall.” – F. Scott Fitzgerald
- “Notice that autumn is more the season of the soul than of nature.” – Friedrich Nietzsche
- “Autumn shows us how beautiful it is to let things go.” – Unknown
- “How beautifully leaves grow old. How full of light and color are their last days.” – John Burroughs
2) The books that I am reading this fall- so far
All of a sudden I realized that I wasn’t really reading books anymore. It is something that I get a lot of joy from and it was kind of a moment that I thought “Why the heck am I not doing that anymore?” And so I recently restarted this beloved habit. Fall is a great time to cozy up with a book and read!
Since October I have started and finished these books:
- “The Women” by Kristin Hannah
- “Just For the Summer” by Abby Jimenz
My preference is to have 3 books going at one time, that might sound like a lot but let me tell you why. One book for pleasure, one book for personal development and one book I am learning from.
Here are my current reads:
- “The Wedding People” by Alison Espach (for pleasure)
- “Burnout” by Emily Nagoski- (for personal development) and this happens to be the book for my book club book in Real Life Wellness Membership, if you are interested click here for the details.
- “Dirty Genes” by Dr Ben Lynch- (to learn) I recently found that I have a gene mutation called MTHFR. There are several different types of mutations within it and I happen to have the worst combination. This book is a great insight into this. I also have some clients who have this as well and so I had already done quite a bit of research surrounding supportive nutrition.
3) My Favorite gadget: Beats Solo 4 headphones
Now this isn’t necessarily fall specific but I happened to get this in the fall and so it is definitely making my fall more pleasurable!
Ear buds never work for me, I have unusually small ear openings and ear buds never fit me. So I am a happy girl to be able to have headphones on that don’t come off, and I can hear so well in them. It’s a win, win, win!
4) My favorite shirts
Whenever I can bring some whimsy or what some people would call “cheesy” to an experience, I am all for it! Last year for Thanksgiving I found the perfect way to do this and it was these shirts for my husband and I. You better believe we will be rocking them again this year! Here is the amazon link if you want to get your very own!
5) The podcasts I am listening to-
Podcasts are so cool and a great way to learn, find commonality with others, and gain new perspectives. Sometimes I like a podcast that teaches me something, sometimes I want one that makes me really examine things and sometimes I like something light hearted. Here are 5 different podcasts I have listened to lately that I am loving.
- The Currently Reading Podcast: Season 7: Episode 15 Book Talks in the Wild + Reading Rituals and found it to be absolutely delightful.
- The Doctor’s Farmacy/Dr Mark Hyman: “My top tips for a better, more restful night’s sleep“

- The Next Right Thing: “The List that could save your fall”
