My best tip for planning and sticking to a workout plan

Happy Fitness Friday!! Just like anything that needs to get done in my life, it works much better if there is a plan in place. Having a plan helps me feel calm and joy. What is really awesome is when a plan can be fun and pretty to look at! Working out is important to me and I want to make sure that it gets done. My workouts are going to be quite different for some time. In case you missed in my previous post, I had surgery to repair my hamstring which was partially detached and torn. The recovery is pretty extensive and requires me to be pretty creative with my workouts. I am incorporating my Physical Therapy exercises along with some bands for my upper body. My new system for planning and displaying my workout can be used for any workout plan!

The Board:

Using a bulletin board I measured out some rectangles and with washi tape I separated out the rectangles. Some scrapbook paper and stickers made the days of the week and weekend. I used a stapler to fasten the items down.

The workouts:

Simply putting workouts on notecards makes them easy to plan and keep organized.

My current workout plan will look like this for awhile 🙂

The Storage:

This small file holder makes a perfect way to organize the workout notecards
